Check owner manual for location of fuses and relay that control seat. it has 2 motors, one for the seat back & one for the sliding back & forth. If one works, suspect motor. If both don't work, suspect fuse or relay.
Also, check wires for chafing under seat, they can get cut if out of position.
report back.

Driverside seat wont move ,stuck in farthest back position

The fuses for the seat are shared with other features on the car such as power antenna. Has any other power feature gone off as well?
Check the runners the seat slides in. There might be something trapped in there blocking the running action.
There are two fuse boxes. One under the hood in the rear drivers side corner, under a black plastic cover. The other is inside the car, inside the end panel of the dash. (With the door open).
Check fuses 1 and 18 as they cover the power seat functions.

Driver side seat controls short out

If it is blowing the heated seat fuse. Pull the drivers left side seat trim back to remove the seat switch. about 2-3 inches behind the switch you will likely find the wiring is rubbing on the seat track. Wrap with electrical tape and put a piece of rubber hose over it so it doesn't rub thru again. I do think this will fix you problem. I have repaired this problem many times.
Hope this helps

you are having all kinds of electrical problems which can maybe be solved by replacing either fuses or relays. also your electrical circuits are being interrupted by shorts in the system and could be a problem with your wiring harness.

The electric driver's seat on my 2000 Ford Explorer will not move

the switch has failed or a combination of the switch and motor. the switch will be the easiest to replaace as you will have to remove and on some vehicle partially disassemble the seat to do the motor. The switch os mounted on the plastic panel which is held to the seat usually by 2 - 4 screws.

Heated driver seat doesn't heat on 2003 ford explorer

this is a common problem if you use the seat heater alot.one or both of the seat heater elements will have burned up or broken.where i live it is very cold most of the time and i have replaced hundreds of the seat heater elements.it is rare for it not to be one or both of the elements.
