I have a 2005 dodge grand caravan. My heater doesn't work (freezing air)it's over heating when I tack it up (going up a hill) and now it knocks when I push the gas and just cuts off. I let it cool down for a while then it will crank back up. But once it starts knocking and over heating again it cuts off! Please help me

You may have a stuck closed thermostat which get's worse when the car overheats. All the symptoms you describe indicate this.
Buy a new thermostat and replace the old one. Do not continue to drive the car for any distance other than a distance that prevents the knocking.

Locate the thermostat by following the top radiator hose to were it attaches to the block. The stat is located under the flanged piece that the hose is connected to.

You have a cracked head, Blown Headgasket or cracked block.

You over heating problem is more of the exhaust gases getting into the coolant system than anything else. Do a compression check to identify which cylinder is being effected.

Heater slow to work

this sounds normal in very cold conditions! The air is never hot when you first start the car in any car, until the engine warms up, then the heater air will also warm. You could check your anti-freeze level for the first thing. If you don't have enough anti-freeze, it won't run through your heater to give you the proper heat

Car heat takes 10 to 15 minutes on a 2005 dodge

could be clogged up heater core or the heating helper element ..if you look for the heater air box you should see a 3 wire plug with i believe its 2 screws on it remove it and start the car and have someone hold it {not the coil wire ends and turn on the heat it should glow red hot this is the heater coil helper you may also have insufficient antifreeze remove radiator cap and check fluid levels also while your there feel the top and bottom hose to see if they both get hot and that you feel water in them but 1st ensure the radiator is full if just the top hose going into the heater-core to the firewall is hot and the bottom one is cold you should have a radiator flush to dislodge the Gunk buildup in the heater core .
