Sounds like the transmission has failed and will need a rebuild. i had the same thing happen to one of my customers cars same year and make also. sorry for bad news. but i would have it checked before you put it in writing but with a transmission it either works or it don't and there no sensor that would make it not move at all! let me know if you have any more question. i would be glad to help

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram Big Horn Edition, with a 5.7L Hemi!! I hear a rattling/fast ticking noise when the transmission shifts is in 3rd gear, stays present while driving. I also feel a weird vibration...

you may just have bad u-joints they can cause vibration when driving you can or may hear a clunking sound when you put it in gear.

gear sensor is broken
Insert a pen next to letter D to release sensor temporary from park to dreive or reverse sifting Drive to your Mechanic to replace the sensor

As you've probably heard before my 91 cav starts fine gets warm stalls at lights starts right back up but cuts off when i put it in gear

pull off the transmission transition switch wire pluged on to tranny
start car drive should be fine never hook op again 0 money
or pay 700 dollars to install a new one
or buy switch pull tranny and install your self

Loud ticking noise, dash, passenger side very annoying

That ticking noise you hear is an HVAC actuator that has failed. It is a small motor with a plastic gear and the gear has stripped causing it not to open/close as it should.

2004 jetta ticking coming from passenger side

difficult one this without haveing a drive in car to hear the noise,this sort of sound could be caused by the flex plate on the crank/torque converter,break on edge of fan belt,power steering pump,altenator bearing,evan the transmission possibly a pump,or could it sound more a sort of electro mechanical noise ?? without hearing it its very difficult to diagnose .
