Question about 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue
Does not have a timing belt. Has a chain. Jack it up to where you can get a wrench on the bolt on the crank. See if crank turns. If it doesn't the engine is likely locked up.

If it's not turning over, the chain could be broke and bound up around the crank pulley. As krivasfixya said, put a wrench on the crank and see if it turn's clock wise, if not, see if it will turn counter clock wise. If it doe's the chain is broken and bound around the crank. If that's the case you know you have to replace it.
