After filling gas tank car wont start what could be problem?

If car was running normally just before filling tank, most likely fuel pump. If car is gas petrol and not diesel, to test bad fuel pump spray starting fluid in air filter box. If car starts and immediately stops is bad pump. If car still dosent start even with starting fluid be several possibilities; bad battery, starter, alternator, ignotion switch / key tumbler, or bad fuses. Battery, starter, alternator can be tested for free if can get to auto parts store, or aftermarket products like from harbor freight. If those still good check related fuses. If all good then to ignition switch problem which unless you are fully competent mechanic needs to be done by a professional

Switch to gas

check the solenoid on petrol line from fuel pump to carburettor is switching off petrol to carburettor when switching, you should hear the solenoid clicking when operating. Alternatively you can disonnect pipe fueline at carburettor, turn key ,if petrol comes out of line make sure it shuts off when you turn switch from petrol to LPG

I changed fuel filter and fuel pump .car still wont start intill the pump Stops pumping not sure what to do at this point im basically a parts changer that's it.i feel like the pvc valve may be...

I read this the other day and it made no sense to me.
The PCV would have nothing to do with the engine starting, only how it runs.
You would need to check fuel pressure at the injector rail with a gauge to see if the pump is working.
The pump should run for 3 seconds with the key on then stop until the engine starts. It gets power from the pump relay then once the oil pressure switch shows oil pressure. If the engine does not start the pump should not have power.

the automatic gas shut off switch is located in the trunk tucked up under the wheel well I think on the left side for that car. you need to feel around for it and press a button on it to reset it.

Xf falcon ute dies driving up hill

have had a few of these in with carb faults but were 2 barrel type.basic checks first,is pcv valve hose under carb not split(runs to valve cover or oil cap on this model?).try driving without airfilter element for test, have had one in that looked clean but had a fine mist of oil on it that blocked and caused air starve and stall on power.Did both problems start at same time? or maybe you are chasing 2 probs.being a ute.I have had probs with rusting petrol tanks and blocked fuel filters

Ran out of fuel,wont go

Your fuel pump uses the gas (petrol) to keep it cool, and when it ran out, the pump likely overheated. It will probably need replaced, and there is a high probability that there is sludge in the fuel filter as well, because all the sediment sinks to the bottom of the fuel tank, and if it runs out of fuel then it will **** up the sediment with the last of the fuel. So... 1) Replace the fuel filter. If it still won't start, you need a fuel pump.
