Look in your fuse box there should be a fuse in there for the horn check it to make sure that it is not blown. if it is good then try replacing your horn relay.

I have a 2001 diamante 3.5 it just jumped time, can you tell me if it warped the valves?lmk thanks

It appears that the 2001 mitsubishi diamante is an interference engine, so it is possible that you have damaged your valves. Have it inspected by a mechanic before operating the starter.

Horn in my 2001 mitsubishi diamante does not work, I checked fuse and horn relay both are good. what's next

How did you test the relay? The fuses are very hard to see without pulling them so use a fuse puller and check it in good lighting just to make sure.

If it is OK, go to radio shack or harbor freight or any auto parts store. Buy a cheap test light or multimeter and check the wires coming into the horn assembly from the harness.

If your friend honks the horn and the light illuminates, then you know to get a horn from a junk yard or ebay. If the light does not come on, then you have an upstream problem.

Horn does not work in my 2001 mitsubishi diamante

Use a test light or multimeter where the wires come into the horn assembly. Have a friend push the horn on the steering wheel and see if it lights up.

If so, run down to your local auto parts store and buy a new one or go to the local junk yard and get an OEM one to plug in.

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Diamante and my horn gets works when we jump it, but it does not seem to be working from the steering wheel....Do you think it could be anything other than the relay being replaced

The relay is probally going to be the main issue, with the assumption you have checked the fuze. Another issue may be the horn pad in the steering wheel, or related wires. Check to see if you are getting a ground signal to the horn relay. (From the horn pad) this is what activates the relay that should have B+ all the time.

Hope this helps
