Blower motor is probably at the end of its life. I'll guess that it probably works best when it is cold, then when the weather, or the fan, is hot it quits working. Same issue with my cars when the fan got old and tired. Dealer can get you an expensive new one, auto parts store can get you a less expensive new one, or the salvage yard can get you a cheaper used one. I recommend to find a yard close to you with the part.

Where is the heater blower relay located on a 1997 Chev. S-10 Blazer

It's located on the blower motor. If you can see the blower motor it's right there. That controls your fan speed. Hope this helps.

Fan speed wont change speeds on heat or cold cycles

Sounds like the Blower Motor Resistor. The range from 10 to 75 dollars depending on what kind of vehicle. Pretty easy to change.

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

1997s10 blazer fan blower would not work on high speed. i replaced the switch, relay, resister, and the fuse. Now i have no air blowing at all.

I had a similar thing happen with my 97 Blazer as well. I replaced the blower motor for like $40 and that fixed it. I originally got one from a junk yard for $30 and it only lasted a year so I would suggest spending the extra $10 for a new one. I hope this helps you.

Where is the blower motor for the heater on a 97 chevy blazer 4.3 L?

It will be under the hood on the passenger side of the firewall. If it has never been changed there may be a plastic cover over it that will need to be cut out and removed. There are labels on the cover that will tell you where you need to cut in order to gain access to the blower motor.

I have '97 chevy blazer. the heater blower and power windows stop working when abs light comes on. when abs light goes off everything starts working again. any idea ? i was looking at wiring schematic and...

None of these things are related there all separate issues.
The window problem is in the door control master switch . the abs could be a wheel speed sensor vary likely and the blower motor could be an accuator or a bad vacuum switch or a bad connection at the blower motor or the resistors .

The heater fan blower in my 85 chevy blazer s10 4wd does not go on switch to low, medium, or high anymore when the dial is turned. Sometimes about five miuntes later it will swicth to the highest setting...

There is a blower motor resistor under the dash in the middle or closer to passenger side. It should be attached to the ducking with two bolts or screws. There will be a connector to unplug with probably about 4 wires. That resistor goes bad and will cause the symptoms your describing. Remove the connector, Remove the bolts or screws, and replace in opposite order. Very simple to replace but locating and actual replacement will sometimes be difficult. Talk to your local auto store and most should be able to point you in the right direction. The part should be around $20. Let me know how it works out for you. Thanks.

Why would a blower work sometimes and sometimes it won't on a 97 lesabre? When it does work, it will start on high and then fade out until it stops. How hard is a diy fix?

If you have a Volt Meter you can check the voltage to the fan motor. If the motor voltage drops you may have a bad fan switch, if your voltage stay's steady you have a bad fan motor. If you do not have a Volt Meter, when the motor starts to slow down tap on the motor with a small hammer lightly. If the motor speed picks up you have a bad motor.
