Had a free brake check done it says pads front near side 8.14mm.disc drums side pads 8.24,disc drums 15.91 .must be done this correct.this in on a Kia picanto 2008.automatic

8.14mm (0.320 inch), 15.61mm (0.6145 in)
Is this the pads or disks and drums they're measuring? Drums at 15.61 seem to be plenty thick. Especially when they don't do much braking.

I would contact a auto parts supply company and just ask them what those specifications are for your vehicle, they should have the numbers because they sell replacement parts.

2000 kia sephia, it has a headlight dimming problem and at the same time the tail lights wont come on till you turn off the lights or hit the brake pedal.

Check all your ground connections in front and back and at the lights clean or replace connectors and tighten ground bolts.

How much is it to replace brake pads on a 2000 kia

Are you going to install them are you taking it to a repair shop? Pads shouldn't cost too much to buy, but paying the shop to do it can raise above $500.

When I put on the breaks there is a grinding sound. I just had it inspected.

This can be caused by a sticking brake caliper. I would check the calipers for proper operation. Also check the condition of the brake rotors and pads. Hope this helped and best wishes.
