The power should have been maintained by an alternate source while battery was being chaged so this does not happen. computer needs a talking to now (reprogram) it does not recognize key, thinks car is being stolen.

New ignition switch? New key as well. Immobilizer/Alarm needs pairing. Put key in ignition, disconnect battery for 3 hours. Connect battery, wait 15 minutes.

Keyless entry not working and although I can get into the car with emergency key it will not start - even with the keyless fob entered into the starter control unit. Spoke over he phone to Jaguar who...

Does sound like the battery - these cars are really sensitive to low voltages. After new battery fitted - cycle the car close + open with the fob - if this does not respond enter the car using the key and also use the key to immediately start the engine. Then check that the fob is okay - you may have a bad fob battery and its possible that the fob has lost its identity ? Hope this helps - good luck

I have a 2002 Ford Escort ZX2. The last couple of days I have noticed the battery light flashing. I just had a new battery put in my car in July or August. I haven't had any problems with my car starting....

Be sure all battery connections are tight including the ground side of the cable from battery to ground. Also check the wiring to your alternator. If your car is stil starting your system is at this point getting enough voltage to the battery to keep it charged - this is what leads me to believe it is a loose connection.
