Typically, the entire assembly gets removed. Be sure not to change any ADJUSTMENT screws.
There are usually 3 to 5 mounting screws, and the whole component comes out.
You should be able to easily change the bulb after that.

How to change headlight bulb

Depending on how much room you have behind the headlight assembly, unplug the wire connector turn the bulb 1/3 - 1/4 turn counterclockwise and remove. when reinstalling DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS (it is a halogen bulb) of the bulb when installing, doing so will transfer oils from your skin and cause premature failure. If you do clean the glass with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth. If there is no room to reach in and remove the bulb, the headlight assy will probably have a couple of screws that when removed will allow you access to the bulb. BTW the part # you need is 9007

Changing passenger side low beam headlight bulb for 2001 Buick LeSabre Custom

there is very little room to gain access to the bulb from behind the headlight assembly.if you remove the plug for the headlight and then slide your hands down on either side of the bulb.there is a lock ring that you must remove(unlock)first.then pull the bulb out and install the new bulb and reassemble in reverse order.NOTE don`t touch the bulb glass with your hands or it can burn out prematurely from the oil on your skin.

How to change right front headlight

Drivers side? reach your hand by the alternator and over to the back of the headlight. You'll feel round rubber covers, pull this out and twist the bulb out.

Passengers side- take the aircleaner top off and move the air cleaner out of the way. Then you have a ton of room to change this bulb.

The bulb in my left headlight is burned out. How do I change it?

FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE HALOGEN BULBS YOU NEED TO WEAR CLEAN DRY GLOVES ON HANDS WHEN HANDLING HALOGEN BULBS.OIL FROM HANDS WILL CAUSE THEM TO BURN OUT.OKAY TO REPLACE HEAD LIGHT BULB.OPEN HOOD AND PULL UP THE RELEASE LEVER AT THE BACK OF THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING.THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING SLIDES IN AND OUT OF THE BODY IN TRACKS.PULL THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING FAR ENOUGH FORWARD TO DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS THEN SLIDE THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING AT THE WAY OUT.TO INSTALL THE HOUSING SLIDE IT BACK IN ALIGNING THE RIDGES ON EACH SIDE WITH THE TWO TRACKS IN THE BODY.WHEN THE HOUSING IS IN FAR ENOUGH REACH THROUGH FROM THE INSIDE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO REATTACH THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS.

How do you change the turn signal blub

Hello, I can help you with this. There are 3 different ways to change the bulb. Method 1 If you have skinny arms and small hands, (I can't do it this way but I've seen it done), you can push the brake cooling duct at the front bumper down and back and reach inside and grab the bulb socket from there. Method 2, MANUALLY raise the headlight about halfway up, ( don't use the switch, it will auto-close after 15 minutes and you don't want your hand caught when it lowers), and remove the headlight surround shroud, that will give you enough room to reach the turn signal bulb socket. Method 3, remove the plastic panel underneath the car directly below the turn signal and reach up. Whichever way you decide on just grab the socket and turn clockwise to loosen the socket.

2003 RUNNING LIGHT HOW TO CHANGE

Hello. There are a few different ways to get access to the bulb. You can remove a small plastic panel underneath the car and reach up. Grab the light socket and give it a quarter turn counter-clockwise and it will come out. When replacing the bulb, don't touch the glass part with your bare fingers. You can also get to it by turning the manual headlight knob and partially raising the headlights enough to remove the plastic surround from the headlight, ( don't use the headlight switch, they will auto-close in 15 minutes and you don't want your arm caught in there), once the surround is out you can reach down and remove the running light socket. Some people remove the "hood bumper" to get more room, I don't recommend this because you don't want to put it back in the wrong position. I hope this gives you some help, good luck.

Headlights on a 1991 Honda Accord

the bulb gets replaced from the back the front headlight covers do not come off .You first have to unplug the wiring connector to the bulb you are replacing which sometimes is a pain then you twist the ring that's around the bulb to unlock it from the housing then pull the bulb straight out .If the bulb your replacing is on the same side as the battery you will need to remove the battery because there wont be enough room for you to access

Changing bulbs for headlights

The bulb is a halogen type. There is a plastic ring around the wires attached to the back of the headlights that turns approx. 1/4 turn, then the bulb, wires and ring can be gently removed, as though you were unplugging something. The wires are held to the bulb with a clip (like most automotive connectors under the hood). After disconnecting the bulb, reinstall the new one being vary careful not to touch the bulb itself as the oil from your skin can be enough to damage it. There is an oring around the bulb that seals the bulb in the headlight housing, and can make getting the bulb assembly out tough. Just move it up, down side to side with gentle pressure back and it will come out. The part numbers for replacment are either 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007 depending on your vehicle. This number will be on the plastic part of the bulb where the wires connect. You can replace with a normal bulb, or  long life where the part number will end with LL (9004LL-BP). BP for blister pack packaging in most auto retailers. Good luck!
