Cant seem to get the radio fuse (10A) out from underneath the hood to replace it. Its not like the other fuses, its kind of protected by a yellow casing.

I changed the alternator and battery in my 2004 trailblazer and the radio didnt come on. checked the fuse under the back seat and in the radio. Cant find the problem.

Is it an aftermarket radio or original equipment, if it's an aftermarket radio the yellow wire not may not be connected properly, with a few other possible wire connection issues the yellow wire should be most common.

If its original equipment there's two fuses one underneath the hood of the car and one underneath the rear seat if both fuses are good most likely radio unit itself has crapped the bed, you can get one at the junkyard for anywhere between 25 and 75 bucks

Radio/Speakers Not Working

In the junction block, check 20A FUSE 18, 10A FUSE 4, and 10A FUSE 19.
The hood release probably was damaged as the mechanic fumbled with opening or closing
