Thank you, but it sounds like it is coming from under the hood. If I'm not mistaken, it sounds like it's on the passenger side.

If it is coming from your speakers it means there is a bad ground or wires touching

My car is making a noise, almost like an airplane taking off, whizzing kind of noise, only in between like 10-20mph. At 20 it just goes away. Same for deceleration. Get down to 20 noise starts and noise...

Kinda sounds like a bad wheel bearing, but can't really give you a good answer without more info, type of vehicle, year, well maintained? stuff like that and maybe an aproximation of where the sound is coming from. also if your car has some damage from an accident or something, it could just be that sweet spot in the speed where it makes noise. Good luck and dont be afraid to ask for more help.

My 2000 passat just started making a loud noise when i accelerate and it seems like its moving slower in acceleration and reving higher

my good friend I believe the solution I give might be not good for you as to what you state It sounds that you are loosing your automatic gear box. Have you ever changed the oil & filter of your Gear box? If not that was the reason.

2005 XC90 T6 AWD making a whirling noise upon acceleration

Add me to the list. Just got back from a Volvo dealership in Chicago and was told the 'winding' noise we're experiencing during deceleration in our 2004 XC90 is due to a failing transmission,so i would suspect the same accelerating. hope all works out for you

I'm just a girl. 99 suzuki esteem 1.8L wagon wont shift into 2nd. grinding type noise heard in first gear when accelerating from takeoff then wont shift into 2nd at all. no problem or noise noted when...

Did you check the oil level inside the gear box? Most people never service the car, so this part gets neglected. if it ran out of oil, you probaply broke it(a big repair bill).
Try putting oil(probably 90w gear oil;check a manual, internet to make sure;if you make a mistake dont worry any oil is better than NO oil).
Check the differential fluid level too;same thing will happen if you neglect doing this.

A constant whizzing

that whining noise is definately your power steering pump. the earlier models eg 2001-2003 just have noisy ones. so they say, if that noise become really excessive; its an early warning that its gonna fail. the newer pumps are much quiter, but i was quoted approx 1200+ CND for a new pump. I have a 2003 cooper, and the whining noise is loud. only once has the steering been really stiff, but i resolve that problem by restarting the vehicle. watch out tho, the power sttering could fail on you while your driving around a corner, and if you dont have both hands on the wheel, you'll go strait.
