2003 Freelander AC not working. Mechanic pulled the relay and jumped it with paper clip and it works fine. Bought new relay but still won't work. Swaped relay with horn relay and the relay is fine. ...

You need a wiring diagram for that answer

What mechanic doesn't have a data base with info
& wiring diagrams or can not repair the problem?

Jumping the power contacts of a relay to get the compressor
to come on, doesn't fix a thing, as you found out

Have to understand what commands the relay to energize

Car will not start clicks when trying to start it it is a freelander 2 se 06 plate

sounds like dead or very low battery. try getting a jump or put battery on a charger if in a place where you can. if this helps, look into getting alternator checked at any local auto parts store. if alternator is fine, have battery checked.

Freelander unable to start at turn of key,

Does the starting solenoid engages? This is would sound like a deep clunk on your starter. When the solenoid engages it close the contact that energize the starter motor, but a worn contact on the solenoid would result in it engaging but not having enough current to turn the engine resulting in a clunking noise when you try to start.
The starter solenoid gets its 12 volt from a relay. This is referred to as the starter relay. If you try to crank, and you hear only a click but the starter do not turn, then the contacts on the relay maybe worn.
To sum it up, if you hear a loud clunk when it dont crank, its the starter solenoid. If you hear just a click but no crank, it could be the starter relay.

Freelander wont start

it's a starter motor problem, the solenoid contact inside the starter
is dirty give it a good cleanup with a sand paper and it should be fine. I have the same starting problem, I just cleanup the copper contacts and presto! starts in one click. or you can buy a starter
copper contact from under $12 from ebayUK go to freelander starter motor.
