Start with the simple and replace the fuel and air filter, also check the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line and clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner. Start with these easy things to check and hope will bring your car back to running 100%.

98 chevy sub. k2500 to accelerate poorly

Likely a clogged fuel filter or defective fuel pump. Confirm correct fuel pressure with a gauge. If the pressure is low, remove the fuel filter and check for obstruction. If it's hard to blow through it, replace it with a new filter. Then retest the fuel pressure. If pressure is still low, then it's likely that you have a defective fuel pump.

Could also be a vacuum leak, which is why there's no change when you remove the vacuum line. Don't start replacing parts until you do some diagnostics

99 chevy tahoe, 5.7 starts and idle fine, slowly give it gas it accelerates, step on the gas and it faulters, stalls sounds like it will die and bogs down

I have seen this type of problem before, this sounds like the engine is not getting the correct amount of fuel pressure it needs as you accel.the first thing is to remove the fuel filter and replace it, take the old filter and blow into it, this will tell you if its restricked. the next step will be to check fuel pressure, you will need a gauge for this test, hook up gauge at valve on the injector rail, take caution wear safty glasses as fuel is under pressure and will spary out a little as you connect line for the gauge to fuel injector rail valve, you will run the engine and also step on gas pedal as you watch the pressure, i would rev the engine to around 3000rpms and hold it to see if engine tries to stall or buck when it begins to act up look at the gauge and if the pressure drops as it starts to act up then the fuelpump is bad. its not able to keep up the pressure. start there good day.

My 2005 Chevy Impala smells gasy when ever started and sometimes after idling for awhile.

SMELL GAS YOU NEED CHECK ALL FUEL LINES UNDER THE HOOD IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.IF GAS IS STRONG UNDER HOOD YOU DONT SEE LEAKING FUEL LINES.YOUR FUEL RAIL FUEL INJECTORS LEAKING OR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR O - RING OR DIAPHRAM LEAKING GAS.IF FIND NO LEAKS UNDER THE HOOD CHECK FUEL LINES UNDER CAR FROM ENGINE TO FUEL TANK FOR LEAKS.IF ALL IS GOOD YOUR EVAPORATIVE CANISTER SOAKED WITH GAS OR YOUR EMISSION EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM NOT WORKING. DEALERSHIP HAS TO CHECK AND FIX.

Clean fuel, clean filters, clean pvc, and since its a '99 try an emissions flush, your e-vap canister is most likely cloggeg, or even a faulty egr valve,

First check for any cracked pipes leading into the intake manifold If all OK (with no codes showing it probably is OK) try checking the fuel pressure regulator. If you smell fuel from the pressure regulator vacuum side arm (when the vacuum line has been disconnected) it needs to be replaced.
