Check the wiring going to the motor. Chances are there is a short in the positive wire causing it to continue to run after the key is off.

GMC 2004 Envoy blows heat even with blower off ... Why ?

The relay in your blower motor is stuck on, there is a TSB for this issue. Replace the blower motor resistor and you'll be back in business.
How does the resistor get power if the fuse is pulled?
Replacing the resistor will cure both problems. TSB is a technical service bullitin seen below

The Blower in my 2003 Chevy Tahoe continues to run even after i turn my car completley off, and it wont shut off what is wrong?

Your blower relay seems to be stuck in the open position . It needs to be replaced. You can test this with a test light on the blower fuse. With the switch off only one side of the fuse should be hot. Good luck!!!

2003 Tahoe - Blower only working on settings 4 and 5..??!! The blower will not operate in speeds 1, 2 or 3, but works on speeds 4 and 5. Any ideas?

hello there:
there could be a couple of things wrong try checking you're blower motor to make sure you are getting any power to that point with switch turned to one of the lower setting if no power it could be the switch in the dash if there is power than it will more than likely to a bad fan blower...hope this helps you out sincerely D.Jones...

I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe . The heater and a/c fan only works on the highest speed #5. How do you repair this problem?

Check the blower motor resistor. It is on the passengers side by the blower motor under the dash. The resistor is connected to the blower motor and controls the blower speeds. They are known for going bad. Also check the connectors because they get hot and will melt.If they are melted then you will have to replace the connectors. You can get these from the dealership.Replace the blower motor resistor too.Hope this helps.Good luck.

2003 tahoe blower motor run after truck shut off also speed dont change

You have a defective blower motor resistor. You need to buy a new one, I recommend from a dealer because the part quality and warranty is better. Remove the lower plastic on the passenger side bottom of dash. It is a large black plastic cover retained by 3 7mm headed screws. Once the cover is removed you will see a round item sticking out of the very bottom of the black plastic heater box under the dash. You will see a 2 wire connector plugged into it. disconnect it. follow the 2 wires back to the resistor which is a small rectangular box retained by 2 gold screws and has another 6 or 7 wire connector plugged into it. remove the connector, and two screws, and it should pull out. Reverse the procedure to install.

2003 Chevy Tahoe, blower keeps running after shut off draining my battery

well it sounds to me as if you have a bad blower resistor allowing the continuous flow to the motor. or else you have a faulty relay there and its staying applied not releasing..or else you have a bad blower motor

Blower motor on my 2003 Tahoe only works in position 3 and 4

CHECK THE CONNECTOR TO THE BLOWER RESISTOR. IT USUALLY BURNS TO THE RESISTOR. YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE RESISTOR AND THE CONNECTOR.

There are seperate blowers for the front and rear air. It is most likely either your blower motor or the resistor, both located under the passenger side dash. I got a blower from a salvage yard for $25, But ended up having to get the resister from the dealership for about $130. Hope this helps.
