When car is warmed up and you turn the heat on, only cold are comes on. I am not sure if the temperature knob is working or if the heater core is out. Is there a way to turn up temperature besides temp knob to see if it control or heat exchange issue?

    Yes there is .
Can you select speed by turning the heat switch?
You will be able to hear a different pitch if the switch is good when you select a different fan speed .

This is how you can tell if a switch works .

Then your heater core is clogged or the engine block where the heater hose plugs in which is more likely not to be .
But I had seen people bypassing the heater core because it was leaking and because they do not want a antifreeze smell in their car and because they want to keep the antifreeze in the system and not to loose it . Also see if the hoses go from the engine to the heater core . Also if your thermostat has been removed from your car the car will take forever to warm up . The thermostat lays usually where a big hose coming from the radiator meets the engine . To change the thermostat you need to remove the cover for the thermostat (usually when the engine is cold ) held down by two bolts and get a new thermostat , install it in the same position as the old one and change the gasket for the housing , re tighten then the bolts for the housing and reattach the water hose . Add antifreeze as needed until the antifreeze level is on the acceptable mark .

Why does radiator fan work when air is on but not when heater is on?

Have you waited long enough?
Sometimes it can take 5 -10 minutes before it turns on while using heater.

Ac fan not working, ac is cold but fan won't blow air into cab...

check the fan itself to see if it works. check the heater fuse first! if all is ok, you probably have a bad heater fan resistor. to check blower, please go here on pc for info on blower. .cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t16272_ds569146

Heater a/c control unit not working

what mode, heat or cold?
does fan blow?> no "? then replace the fan fuse.
fan blows on high? yes.
then if A/C ? wanted? why not say? then the green light glows
near A/C switch, does it? y/n
yes the does A/C compressor clutch close? and compressor shaft turn? y/n.?
or its heat you want? not stated.
so no heat, is a whole other list. ill try.
1: engine not hot, not 180f min. and holding (y/n)
2: cab fan dead.
3: heater core not hot, (feel the hose there both must be hot)
4: damper stuck closed blocking heater core.

Heating fan switch not working

cab heater? there are 3 fans, engine, cab heat and A/C. so....
a stuck CAB switch is a bad switch. easy huh?
if the switch only works on high but does move, that is a bad heater fan Resistor block. (usually bolted to fan hosing as it is air cooled this part)

Heater wont work a fuse maybe? some how I doubt it. the rear window heater works. fan dead perhaps? no fan at all. not sure about heat.

Hi: Sounds like a possible heater resistor problem. First check to see if heater fan working, unplug heater under hood and put 12 volts to it from the battery with a wire (single black wire running to back of fan). If works then problem probably the resistor which is located on the fan housing under the hood to the right of the fan. The resistor has wires to it running from the heater fan, 2 - 7mm screws holding resistor in place, check resistor to see if any of the 3 elements are melted off, if so replace. Note: Rear window defrost has nothing to do with heater fan. Hope this helps...
