2006 Honda CR-V tailgate light goes on and off while driving and sometimes the locks will not lock.

Anne,

Sounds like yo have a bad ground somewhere in your electrical system. The ground connection for your tailgate light should be close to the bulb,...follow the wires from the bulb it should terminate to the body of the tailgate or it may run all the way back to the main body of the car. If it does, it may be breaking at the flex point where the wires have to flex every time you open your tailgate. Clean this connection off and check you tailgate wires (at the flex point) if it does terminate on the main body. As far as the locks...I don't know where to start!

How to replace license plate light bulb for 2002 chevy trailblazer

Hello, If you look on the inside panel of the tailgate you'll see the lamp lens held in by 2 screws. Remove the 2 screws and then remove the lamp lens. Remove the bulb from the lens and install new bulb. Be sure to clean new bulb with clean cloth or paper towel to be sure there isn't any oil from your skin on the bulb. Replace lens assembly into tailgate. Reinstall 2 screws. Hope this helps. Good luck and God bless.

How do I replace the brake light bulb

1.Open the tailgate.
2. Locate the plastic plugs attached to the brake light housing (on the right side of the driver side light, on the left of the passenger side).
3. Carefully pry up the plugs with a screwdriver or other flat tool (I believe there are two).
4. The light should be free to pull out (pull toward the rear of the vehicle). You should see two torx screws.
5. Remove the bolts and pull the housing away from the tail light lens.
6. Twist and pull to remove the correct bulb.
7. Insert the new bulb into the holder and replace the housing.
8. Verify that the replacement bulb(s) are working.
9. Reinstall the torx screws and place the assembly back into it proper location on the vehicle.
10. Push the plugs back into the holes and verify that it is secure.
11. Close the tailgate and check for proper fitment.

Im trying to change my break light bulb but dont know how to access it

If it is a car, open the trunk. You may have to pull back the carpet lining which will reveal the light bulb connections or access panel. On a truck, drop the tailgate. There should be mounting screws inside the jam (where the tailgate meets with the bed of the truck). Remove those and pull the taillight assembley out carefully. Twist the light bulb connector counterclockwise to remove the lightbulb and connector. Then do the same with the light bulb if it is cylinder shaped at the base. If it is flat then just pull the bulb out ane replace it.

Instructions to replace tail light

Lift the tailgate and you will find two screws at the top of the lens assembly, remove them. Pull on both sides of the lens directly out from the vehicle as there are two ridged prongs about middle of the lens. It will sound like something is breaking but it should come out with a little tugging. On the back of the now removed lens, turn the top plug a quarter turn and pull away from the back of the lens. Pull the bulb from the wired socket and replace. Install in reverse.

How to replace the bkake light switch on a 2004 avanche?

Open the tailgate and remove the two screws on the inside of the tailgate wall which hold the tail light assembly. Then pull the whole tail light away from the truck. There will be a couple of plastic pins holding it on. Gently pry those out with a screw driver if they don't come by themselves. When the light mechanism is free, push in and twist the bulb socket release tab and it should release the bulb from the assembly. Take the bulb out of the socket and replace. Twist and push the socket back into the tail light mechanism. Push plastic pins back in and reinstall the two screws. Test signal and brakes.

How do you get to the bulb on the brake light of a Chevy s10 pickup LS? There arent any screws in the lens Diana

Let the tailgate down and look on the inside of the jamb where the gate closes, should be some screws in there. Those screws will allow you to remove the entire lens and then you can get the bulb out.

Remove the 2 bolts as in the user manual. Slowly wiggle the tail light top then bottom as you pull straight back. Not slowly. There are 2 pin clips attaching it to the rear quarter panel.
