Question about 2000 GMC New Sierra 1500
I have a GMC 1500 4x4 with automatic transmission, all of a sudden will not shift back into park? Will shift fine in all other gears.
Climb under your pickup and look where the cable connects to the side of the transmission and make sure there is not any mud around the cable or around the shift linkage hookup. If so clean it off and see if it will shift. We have found many of these with mud caked around the shift linkage or a lot of ice buildup and wont allow it to shift into park.
