Two problems that I can see would cause all of that - a bad primary oxygen sensor (the one before the catalytic converter) and a clogged fuel filter. It's possible, if the oxygen sensor has been bad for a long time, that the cat is clogged with carbon residue from running too rich, but I'd change that O2 sensor and the fuel filter and see what happens.

I have a 1/2 ton chevy pickup 350 carburated

Sounds like the fuel filter needs changed. Depending on your crab It is between the pump and carb, or in the carb where the fuel line goes in.

00 honda passport intermittent rough idle

called misfire.
that means its not holding closed loop status at idle
ever do a tune up on it?
old spark plugs dont work, they MISFIRE and idle fails.
all cars for 100 years ,same , gas engines.

it can also be, bad fueling. or a bad engine.
we check compression first
then spark then fueling;
in that order, engine can not run right out of that order.
so misfire.
too rich misfire.
or too lean.
we check that by gazing at the spark plug tips ,
black is rich, white is lean.
most cars are cream or very light tan color. normal.
learn to read the spark plug tips.

its and 2000, and the scan tool will show the car is not i closed loop
at idle, fix that first. and DTC errors like MISFIRE P0300 or bad idle.
the same scan too show LTFT, long term fuel trim.
if its way far from 0 , the fueling is wrong.
-3-5% is normal. -50 is stuck rich and misfiring.

Carberetor stalls up hill

at WOT? too? wide open throttle or just cruise up.?
i can do carbs, 50 years. expr.
1; CHOKE OFF, or it floods. and stalls.
2: float level too low,
3: fuel pressure too low , causing # 2
4: fuel pressure too high causing flooding.
(or float valve stuck open do to bad or too much fuel pressure !!!)
5: main jet filthy ( are not all, that way by now?)
6: power jet dead.
7: air emulsion tubes or jets, clogged.

the trick is to find out , IS IT too lean, or too rich, (or spark bad)
bad spark plugs just head hills. (they love to fail old under higher pressures)
so spark is first, no carb on earth works with bad spark
can burn gas with out perfect spark and timing. of it.

there are tests to do that finds the Rich /lean truth.
i use hand held propane gas, i crack the valve on the fly
and if power returns, its lean.
if not , its not lean. but maybe too rich.
for rich , (no 5gas dyno or wideband 02 bung)

i read spark tips, like the olden days. (fun for some)
in fact we'd fly up a hill, and park fast. stalling engine,
fast, and then pulling spark plug (any) is it black or white.
white, lean
black is rich missing.
love my wide band sensor, no more doing that. (a tool)

ive also done same and checke float levels. oops got bad fuel
even algae or rust in fuel bowl.
i cut the ignition on the fly and found bowl near dry.
bingo, fuel starvation
took a new gas tank to fix this car. (or total refurb)

Motor shuts off when started up,shuts off when driving.

hot engine or cold, or both? 180F+ is hot.
Shuts off, idling or on the fly, say at 30mph right foot down it dies?
just clue here...
engine stalls. is complex. but in the macro its below, using tools finds the reason,, but you never said did it restart easy./??????
1: lost of engine compression hot engine, (or overheated)
2: lost 12vdc electric power at stall (caused it) dash goes dead. ?
3: lost spark, test spark at the failure point. if dead trouble shoot speak.
4 bad fueling, too lean (say the fuel pump dies) or too rich.
too rich causes wet spark plug tips. (lots of causes )
5: stalls due to idle RPM too low, below 800 is too low.
too low idle rpm is caused by many things, but top 2 are.
A: EGR stuck wide open, clean it, as the books shows at 60k miles
B: ISC stuck closed. (same deal clean it)

now repost and say when it stalled,
at a read light or flying up a hill wot, wot= wide open throttle.
and when it dies, is the restart easy or hard.

Missing mitsubishi libero goin uphill

if you are low on fuel and going up a hill the fuel pump is gunna have to work harder to get fuel since going up the hill gravity will be pushing the fuel to the back of the fuel tank. i suggest you dont run your car with such low fuel

2188 rich at idle,Ive seen the injector creat this fault by not having the ability to atomize fuel properly are you willy to put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the fuel tank. This vehicle is equipt with a air ratio when it fails system goes lean, try this first but dont wait too long rich condition can destroy the catalytic convertor

1990 chevy lumina, idling problem...stalling...too rich

Stalling and running rich. I have seen this before on a Camero. The fuel pump was weak. Not making enough pressure. This caused the fuel injector to DRIP gas instead of SPRAY gas. This caused the fuel to flow into the cylinder in a liquid form, and it did not burn well. We put in a new fuel pump and the car came to life. Good luck.

94 Camaro 3.4L V6- runs extremely rich

Check the vacum line to your fuel pressure regulator, the line may have a crack in it or the regulator may be bad.
