Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

I have an old HP deskjet 3820 printer and a new HP pavilion desk top which has only USB I/O ports, no parallel ports. Therefore I need an adapter cable to connect my printer to my new PC. Does the adapter cable connect directly to the printer or does it connect to the PC end of the original parallel port cable? Where can I find such an adapter cable?

You can almost buy a new printer for the cost of the adapter you are talking about buying. They have all kinds of adapters: the kind that connects to the flat end of a USB or the square end. Parallel, male or female. Go to a computer store like best buy, they should be able to hook you up.

Hope this helps.

I would like to replace my cigarette lighter with a USB port. which one will fit a 1996 Infiniti I30?

I would recommend simply purchasing an adapter with 2 USB ports on it. This way, you have 2 USB ports but it you need to plug in some other device, such as a portable air compressor or an electric torch, you still can do so by unplugging the USB port adapter.

Cigar (accessory) port will not provide power via a USB adapter.

Have you tried the adapter in another car? It could be that the ground post is reversed in your adapter and the phone is safeguarding the power flow. A diode installed backwards in the adapter would prevent current flow.

Need to change to a a/c retro fit do i need to change dryer or filter if so how and where is it'' on 10 90 chev z71

yes change the accumulator /filter drier and the orifice tube the orifice tube is on the high side line going to the condenser and the accumulator is on the fire wall passenger side but this system needs to be evacuated before this is done its against the law to release these gasses into the air so youll need a recovery system to do this dontforget to replace the seals also

How do i change the thermostat on the four cylinder

If your talking that radiator Thermostat, trace the upper radiator line back to the motor. Where it mounts is actually an adapter plate that is bolted on with 2 to 3 bolts. Remove the Hose, Remove the Adapter from the motor and you should see the Thermostat under that adapter. Toss the old one and insert the new one. Clean the old seal off and put the new seal in place ind mount the adapter, tighten down, reconnect hose fill radiator and test drive for a block of 2 and then check for leaks. If you have any leaks at the adapter tighten the bolts a little more and top off the radiator.

Hello! I just wanna know how to install my hp c4200 in my laptop without a CD?

You would have to try going to and see if they can help you do it on line or send you a disc. You may have to pay for the disc. The cd has al the drivers and info to set up the printer and not printers can be set up fully online. When you go to make sure you have your model and serial numbers ready. With model they may ask if it is an office jet or desk jet or another name so if you have that it would be good (you may not need everything I'm mentioning). Good luck you should be ok once you get hooked up with hp.

SUN Desktop

I really don't deal with desk tops at all, I have a guy that I contract all desk tops out to. I can ask him, but the Sun model isn't very common. Let me know what you want to do, any probs and all, I'll ask him, and get back to you. It might take a week or so, the guy is actually a former computer tech that is now a truck driver, and it will a few days with anything that I call him for. It's an interesting story on his computer skills if you're up for it.
