Question about 2002 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

Suddenly on my 2002 town and country,i can not adjust the air volume coming out of the vents for the a/c and heater. It just blows out on high... When I turn the whole system off the lights go off on the temp panel but air still blows out towards the front windows.

The a/c in my 205 town and country blows cold air everywhre but the front vent

Hi there, I have seen this before on other cars, it sounds like the vacuum on the heater tap is faulty, have some one check its operation as you move the vent switch, if it is sucking air then it's faulty and will have to be replaced, hope this helps good luck

The heat blows cold and hot. Is it the resistor module or the themostat

The resistor controls fan speed, not temp.
If the heat comes and goes, it could be the thermostat, or the radiator could be low on coolant, or have air pockets, or one of the blend doors may not be working correctly.
The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the vents.

2002 Chrysler Town and Country rear a/c turns on and sounds like it's working, but barely blows air.

Check the air intake for obstructions like plastic bags and clogged evaporator cores.

2007 chrysler town and country a/c blows cold through floor and defrost vent but not dash vents

Often a sign of a blend door problem. The blend door or doors are in the heater a/c box behind the dash.

In my 2002 Town & Country, the a/c does not blow out of the front vents. It is blowing out of the rear vents. Sometimes, as I am driving, all of a sudden it starts blowing out of the front vents.

It sounds like a door actuator is stuck or the actuator is faulty...it can be diagnosed further with a DRB III scan tool...i hope this helps.
