More than likely it is the fuel pump going out and it takes a few tries to prime the fuel system, I would perform a fuel pressure test when its cold and has been sitting and see if it takes along time to build pressure..

Accidently drove a little ways with out much antfreeze/coolant...and i think the water pump is out... and now wont start... aside from waterpump, what should i look at?

OUCH! ok so the coolant is the only thing keeping your engine from overheating and warping. Usually the engine light can be decoded from your local auto parts store, sometimes for free (in hopes you will buy the parts to fix the problem from them). That may tell you if something else is preventing the engine from running.
Basically you have 2 big things to check, make sure you have spark, make sure you have fuel. Take a spare sparkplug unplug one of your plugs and plug the spare on. Lay the loose spark plug somewhere on the block touching metal. Have a friend turn over the engine a couple turns and look for the spark on the plug. Don't touch the spark with your fingers when rolling the engine, that's very high volts. if you see spark that's good, plug the wire back on it's original plug. Fuel is a little harder, but a quick shot of ether (usually called starting fluid) in the intake can tell you if the fuel is the problem.
Water pumps are usually driven off the same chain/belt as the timing. I'd have them replace the timing belt at the same time to save you some bucks in the future.

Got fire got gas wont start

it takes only 3 things. to run.
1: good motor, compression test. (we do that after any head swap)
2: good spark and spark timed right. you need a book to follow there.
3: good fueling, not flooding and not starving.
if #1 and 2 are good, then you can use test fuel to see if motor runs
on test fuel (cut fuel pump for test)
in that order, and there are simple tests for each.

2002 Honda Civic ex wont start

After so many over heats.a car sometimes cant handle.
after constant over heating your cars rubber gaskets could have gone bad and turned brittle letting in oil into spark plug well #1
for your spark plug problem i would recommend changing your valve cover gaskets.
and for the over heating and not turning on.
i believe you blew a head gasket.

2005 ford focus will turn over but wont start, it started missing, then it got loud now it wont start at all

As with any no-start situation, someone will need to figure out if you are lacking fuel to the injectors or spark to the plugs.
You may also have a failed timing belt and no engine compression.

My Neon Dodge (1996), experiencing hard starting, most often times in the Morning when i about to start,it will take too much time (around 30 minutes) before it starts, until such time the battery getting...

If a car doesn't start normally there could be 3 main causes:
1.No spark (check spark plugs and distributor for wear end aging)
2.No fuel (check the fuel filter(if a fuel come out dark from it - change the filter, fuel pump (for wear), fuses(for burns))
3.No air (check the air filter)

If this doesn't help take it to professionals. Hope this helps

Rite so lads two days ago the passat started misfiring...so i checked the leads lead 4 was broke inside and lead 3 wasnt giving a strong spark so i changed the boath of them running fine until last nyt...

There are a number of reasons this can be happening here. The first to check would be the following...
1) Spark Plugs I have a Jetta myself and had similar problems. The spark plugs were brand new, producing a perfect spark, but my car kept sputtering and misfiring. Come to find out, Volkswagens are very picky with the gapping on the spark plugs. You should try removing them and re-gapping each one to 0.33". Just try to get as close to that as possible. Never trust spark plugs if they state they came pre-gapped.
2) Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) If the spark plugs did not fix the issues for you, then it could be your FPR. Sometimes the hoses to the FPR rot over time and need to be replaced. If that is not the case, then the regulator itself might need to be replaced. Basically the FPR is what regulates the amount of fuel that is going to the engine.
3) Dirty Fuel Injectors Over time, fuel injectors do get dirty. You might want to have them professionally cleaned if the above has not helped any.
4) Scan for Codes The best thing you can do is scan for codes. Most auto part stores like Advance Auto and Autozone have the code scanners and will scan your car for free. They will be able to pull any issues from the computer even if your check engine light is not on. This should give you more information to pinpoint any issues. If you have this done and are confused about the codes, I would be more than happy to help you determine the issues.
