The blower motor is located under the dash on the passenger side below the glove box. remove the 3 gold color screws with a flathead screwdriver or an 8mm socket and ratchet. there is also one electrical connector. this will allow the blower motor to drop down and you will most likely find a mouse or other debri. hope this helps

2004 honda civic...smell antifreeze ...cooling fans will not turn on

the main problem would be your radiator fans don't turn on. This would cause pressure to build in your radiator causing coolant to flow over into the coolant reservoir. sometimes you might see coolant on the floor your temp gauge should also read much higher than normal. you can connect your fans directly to your battery and drive the vehicle and see if problem still exists. if not then thermo switch etc would need to be checked.

1993 honda civic gives off musty smell when I turn on the a/c. The smell goes away after a few minutes but the smell comes back everytime I turn on the a/c.

the heater box will have to be removed and cleaned. over time the box accumulates organic matter (leaves, dust, dirt) and the smell is that material decomposing. there are chemicals which are designed to mask that smell, but there's nothing better than a good cleaning.

Re: 1998 Honda Civic CX The interior heater fan squeaks and squeals. There is also an odour that smells like burning plastic.

Replace the fan the bearing is going and makes the fan wobble and that is why you get the noise.

Gas Smell when heater turned on

When the heater is turned on, it is drawing in air from the cowl at the bottom of the windshield outside the car. If your smelling gas when you turn it on, it would suggest to me that there may be a fuel leak under the hood. A lot of Honda's have the fuel filter under the hood against the firewall. Open the hood, and see if the gas smell is any stronger, or any gas smell at all for that matter. I would strongly recommend getting the car checked as soon as possible, if you can find the source of the smell yourself.

2002 civic ex overheating

with your description it sounds like your fans are not coming on, also sounds like the problem was never solved, sounds like you threw a lot of money at your problem also... check to see if the fans are coming on at the right times, seems like a n air movement over the radiator since you say it only gets hot in stop and go traffic... well when your driving at a constant highway speed guess what you have air movement through the radiator... check also a clogged ac condensor with bugs, pressure wash it out so the air can pass through it easily... please rate my help thanks

I have a 2002 Honda Civic Ex, it has been over heating but only in stop and go traffic, never on the freeway, i have replaced, timing belt, water pump, cooling fan relay, cooling fan switch, flushed radiator. There is no white smoke coming from the tail pipe and the oil is clean, when the car gets hot i can smell the coolant pretty strong, car has never completly overheated gets about 3/4 of the way til red.

A/c is not cooling

If there's mist coming from the vents, it sounds like the heater core is leaking. Check the coolant level as well as the floor of the car for signs of dampness. You may also find the smell of coolant inside the car. If these signs are present, you should have the heater core replaced. Best of luck and post back with any other questions or concerns.
