Heater blows cold air

This is from Lifewire: If your heater was blowing lukewarm instead of cold, a thermostat that was stuck open would have been a potential cause. Another common problem is when air gets into the cooling system. Since the heater core is often the high point in a cooling system, air can move into it and become trapped.

2003 ford taurus blows lukewarm when the heat is on. Blower blows fine and a/c works great.

Check out the heater hoses for warmth. Both should be the same with the water flowing. If they are not, the water is not circulating.

There are 2 ways the heater can work. One style varies the amount of water flow to control the heat levels. The other uses the blend flaps in the ducts to push air flow around the heater core.

If the heater hoses are not circulating water, a part called a flow valve is to blame. Check out the autoparts sites for photos of the flow valve for your car. If you have the blend flap system, a solenoid called a "motor" is not changing the position of the blend flap in the dashes' ductwork.

Heater blowing only warm air, fan is fine. no leaks on heater core where is the control for the heater located

Make sure you have the coolant level at the correct level in the bottle resorvoir. If there is not fluid to circulate in the system, the fan will only blow a cool or lukewarm temperature air. If there is enough coolant, check that the water pump is working.

2004 chevy s-10 hater blows cold or lukewarm air

Well 1996 or 2004 is just a blend door to controll the temp.I see it also shows a heater core temp sensor on the 2004,but not sure if this would cause the problem.Your blend door allows air to pass over your heater core or just draw outside air.Well hope this helps.
