Where to is the fuel filter for legacy outback H6 3.0 2001 model

the fuel filter is marked in the box.
first mark each hose with a different mark. then simply remove the clamps and carefully pry off each hose connection.
if the hose is damaged 5/8" fuel hose can be used to replace pieces if necessary due to drying out rubber

Is there an access pannel under the rear seat of 1999 subaru legacy outback to access the top side fuel tank?

Yes, under the rear seat bottom on a sedan or behind the rear seat back on the panel under the carpet on the cargo area, right behind the seat back, screws hold the panel on, fuel pump right below it, easy to replace...I just did mine,1998 Legacy Wagon.

I have a 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback (Station wagon). The last few times that I've gone home I would press the gas pedal but my car would just slow way down. I'd have to hit the pedal a couple of...

there are a couple of possible causes. I have found many older subaru's end up with poor ground connections for the fuel pump. Have the shop that changed the pump test the connection at the sending unit which is located behind the back seat under an access cover. if the connections are good then check the fuel pressure regulator. it uses rubber seals and they fail with age. lastly if the above items are good i suspect the fuel filter might need changing.

I get a P0 103 code from my 98 subaru outback, which is "Fuel Temperature Sensor Circuit High Voltage" but nwohere in the manuals can my mechanic or I find where this sensor is or how to replace it

Ken, that sensor is part of the pump/gauge sender unit in the fuel tank. I went through that same wild goose chase on my Legacy. I found a bad solder joint on my unit which I was able to repair, so I now have one left over. If you need a nice used one with about 60K miles on it let me know. tscooter2 @gmail .com

Hope that helps.

2000 Subaru Outback wont start.. no fuel.

Are your injectors firing into the engine? You can buy a test kit to double check that. Is there spark at the plugs?

I had the same problem sorta with my civic it turns out after doing timing belt water pump, and many gaskets i had a huge vaccum leak.

Also check your fuel lines to see if they are loosing pressure somewhere

Speedometer died on 98 Outback Legacy

if you know what you are looking for, it is the speedometer cable. if you have a mechanical odometer, then it is just the cable that is connected in your instrument panel and connected to your transmission.

if you can replace that cable then that would solve your problem.

if you have an electronic odometer , then you have to find your sending unit which is also located in your transmission. but it would be more complicated to test if it is defective.

tnx 4 using fixya,
