Question about 2002 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
My car didn't start one morning (cold morning) I have a 2002 TDI Jetta I had it towed to the dealership and they told me it was the fuel pump and replaced the timing belt and water pump also. (2800.00) Well now it starts but won't go past 20 mph and now they said I need a new glow plugs and a new relay. This doesn't make sense to me. If they car is starting I don't think it would need new glow plugs and I feel this is another problem. They don't listen and don't want to readjust the timing belt. I am so frusturated and need advice. After the new glow plug relay and glow plugs we are looking at close to 3800.00 to fix my car. --Very upset!!!!
Glow plugs have absolutly nothing to do with the car not going over 20 mph. sorry, but you gotta keep on em. at a guess i would say it was due to them doing a t-belt and not setting the timing right somehow. but that's just a guess.... while I love my TDI, the service and parts at most VW dealers are at the bottom of the list
