1990 Dodge Dynasty not firing on #6 cylinder at all. Plug, wire and coil testing good. Suggestions as to next step please?

Check the compression. If its 15% lower than he others then the motor has issues.

Spray brake cleaner arouund intake looking for a leak. RPM will change if you find one

I'm needing a diagram for the spark plugs

Here is the firing order and spark plug wire routing diagram for a 2006 Chevy Impala LT 3.9 V6:
Firing order: 1-2-3-4-5-6
Spark plug wire routing (starting from the driver's side):
  • Cylinder 1: connect to the coil tower closest to the driver's side headlight
  • Cylinder 3: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 1
  • Cylinder 5: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 3
  • Cylinder 2: connect to the coil tower closest to the passenger side headlight
  • Cylinder 4: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 2
  • Cylinder 6: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 4
Note: Make sure to route the wires properly to avoid cross-firing.

My number 2 and 6 coils are not firing and i have changed coil pack 4 times also changed crankshaft senson

Not to be simplistic, but I had a situation where a coil was suspected of being problem, and it turned out to be spark plug, so if you haven't already, swap a plug with one that is firing is good step to take next.

I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5/9 in it I put plug wires on it and now it's popping and it lost power and it had a code po302 and Po 307

The P0302 code means that the cylinder 2 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks and if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 2. If the problem persist more tests needs to be done. PO307 is the same thing except number 7 cylinder. Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/loss of power
- Hard start
- Engine hesitation

Check engine light is on, they say multiple miss fire in cylcinder 6. but no one can find the problem van runs great

first do a cylinder compression test on engine to verify good engine compression this should be around 110psi to 175 psi check for vacuum leak, intake port for #6 cylindermay be leaking air, or also check coil for that cylinder, if wire and spark plug have already been changed, last replace fuel injector for that cylinder.

Have a 1990 Dodge Dynasty with a 3.3 v-6 engine that has starting issues. When I try to start it it will attempt to start and sort of run if I keep pumping the gas pedal though it will stall within 5-30...

It is worth checking if you are having an ignition problem. First check whether you have spark. Remove one of the spark plug wires and look to see if it is sparking when you turn the starter. Check the distributor wiring and harness. Check the distributor rotor. Also you should check the ignition coil.

Engine light keeps comeing on mecanic change o2 senser worked for half hour came back on cods keep saying its miss fireing have had this problem for a month know

Start Small work to Big = Saved Money!
The Code(s) should be telling the specific cylinder(s) that are misfiring. Do you know waht the code is?
Target those cylinders 1st before testing the unaffected cylinders.
The following should isolate the problem(s).
1. Spark plugs - take out-reconnect back to wires and test spark plugs for getting sparks. If none: Don't replace them yet. GO TO 2. If the spark plugs are worn, dirty them replace them.
2. Remove spark plugs form end of ignition wires and test for spark from the wire. If none: Don't replace them yet. GO TO 3.
3. Remove the wires from the coil connection and test the coil for spark for each cylinder. If none: Don't replace it yet.
4. Test each spark plug and wires this way.
5. Coil Packs normally provide fire for 2-cylinders at the same time. The two are paired across from one another.
6. Test the coil for fire, amount of fire and if there is both cyclinders firing.
Misfire and the O2 Sensor got replaced??

1990 300zx non turbo has miss on 2 cylinders

dude, i think you have two spark plug cables cross over. go to your local autozone and find a "firing order" if it was a blown head gasket it would show on the compression test but i'm pretty sure its a spark plug cable cross over.

No spark, ck the crank position sensor. bolted on engine at the front crank pully. Good luck. unplug and plug it back in to clean the wire connection/

If you have the 3.3L the voltage regulators are located in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC), depending on the model. If, after diagnosis, the regulator is deemed faulty, the PCM/SBEC must be replaced with a new one.
