Question about 1998 Chrysler Concorde

Open Question

I have a 98 Concorde, and I my turn signal switch is destroyed, I am trying to create a switch in order to activate my wiper fluid pump but I don't know the best way to do it. Should I try to open up the steering column, or would it be easier to try to find the wires beneath the dash? If so, where are they and how will I know which is which? Thank you

SOURCE: turn signals and hazard flashers quit working

There are two possible locations for the relay.

First in the fuse panel, close to the bottom.

Second, in some models they put the darn thing behind the dash in the center of the car, it's a real pain to get to if it's that one.

Good luck

SOURCE: SC power relay on a 1994 Chrysler Concorde

You're local library is a good reference for shop manuals or even most have "All Data" which is really good source for diagnostics and repairs. And they will help you figure out the All Data system too. Good Luck. I thought SC power relay would be Speed Control power relay.

In my 2007 Saturn Vue there is what I think is an air pump which is cracked that one port is not connected to anything.

There is a electric motor that pumps washer fluid . Located in the bottom of the washer fluid tank .
Wash Operation (Front and Rear Wipers)
The front and rear washer systems use the same windshield washer fluid pump. When either the front or rear wiper is in the washer position voltage will be supplied to one side of the windshield washer fluid pump (depending on whether it is front or rear), while the other side of the pump is grounded.
At this point, the windshield washer fluid pump sprays solvent onto the windshield. When the front or rear washer is activated, the BCM receives an input from the switch that is activated. The BCM will control the wipers while in the WASH mode. The BCM will control either the front wiper relay or the rear wiper relay to turn on the wipers. The windshield wipers operate at low speed for 3 swipes and returns to the park position.

When turning on the washers do you hear the motor run ? Have some one try it while you listen at the washer fluid tank ! These pump motors do go bad .
turn OFF the ignition.
Disconnect the harness electrical connector of the windshield washer fluid pump.
Connect a test lamp from the windshield washer pump control circuit to a good ground .
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Press the front washer switch.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
YES or NO !

Can I bypass my cooling system on my 98 concord? And how would I detect my qater pump bad

Your engine would destroy itself in less than 3 minutes if you tried anything as ignorant as that. The engine will overheat if the water pump is bad. It will also leak water out of the pump behind the pump pulley.

2010 Reg Ford Focus 5 door hatch rear screen wash not working. Front is OK. How do I fix it?

the washer fluid could be empty / the fuse for the wiper blew / the relay went bad /if you tried to use the wipers without clearing ice away you blew the fuse/ if you just put water in instead of washer fluid it's frozen/ if the wiper works and there is windshield fluid in the tank and not water and all fuses are good the pump motor for the fluid went and is easy to change

Turn signal switch, intermittent wipers not working correctly, washer not working,is all this controlled by the turn signal switch assembly ? or could it be the wiper relay module and washer pump motor,

If the wipers work on normal setting, would not be a relay problem. The intermittent wipers and the washer motor are separate issues-if all on the same stalk, it is probably a bad switch. Hot wire the washer motor with jumper wires to check motor operation. The motor is probably mounted on the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir. Good luck.

Windshield wipers don't turn on unless washer fluid button is activated

According to the wiring diagram, it looks like the switch sends a signal to the body computer and it turns on the wiper-on relay. That relay is powered by a 30amp fuse. If you are sure the switch is working, it looks like the problem may be in the computer. I would get a second opinion before replacing anything else.
