I just had a 2001 Focus get under my skin doing the same thing in my shop... NO! I will not fix this one for you. I'm a little "Ford'd Out" right now.... It ended up being a bad connection on the bottom of the fusebox for that Focus, but somehow I don't see that on yours here. What you may have is a bad "theft system component". I would have to get into the Ford OASIS system to get some more troubleshooting for this, and to be honest if you can't read Greek, you're going to have a hell of a time with it yourself. It could be a bad ignition switch, a bad PCM, a bad key, a bad hazzard light switch, a shorted wire, a bad GEM module, etc.... You know what, it wouldn't suprise me if Ford somehow even wired the CLOCK into the anti-theft system. They've done it before, and Chrysler has even wired the clock into the TRANS module on thier vans. (yeah, so if your clock goes bad in a Caravan, the trans goes to limp, and that's 2nd gear. If you're going 75mph, BOOM, blown trans, because the CLOCK went bad... 3 weeks on that one too.) Multi-plexing! It's a wonderful thing. It's a trick to diagnose, and the last one took me almost 3 weeks and different 8 techs from 3 different independant shops and 2 dealers. If you're not willing to take on a big one, I'd find a pro for this one. the Stick

Try leaving the key in on for 10-15 minutes. If the blinking theft light stops blinking and goes out, it has reset. Turn key to off, and then try to start it.

I have a 2003 CR-V. Tonight I left the lights on and it drained the battery. The battery is only a couple months new, so with a quick jump, it started immediately and ran, seemingly with no problems.......

your battery may not be fully charged yet with the quick jump. let it run for a bit with no lights or accesories, no a\c or heat. everything is run off the computer and it need to be fully charged.

Van started but then stopped - was unable to get it to even turn over to start - changed the ignition switch but still wouldn't even turn over - checked the starter and was ok - checked the fuses they were...

Hi, if there is an anti- theft system installed in your van, you mght have a faulty computer. I had the same problem and it was due to the anti - theft system. Ihad to replace the computer. If it is the anti- theft system, there would be a tiny red light continueously on in the instrument panel. I hope this helps.

1999 Dodge Ram van 1500 no pick up power

I had a similiar problem on my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Conversion Van. It ended up being a partial collapse of the catalytic converter which didn't allow adequate exhaust. The problem only showed itself because I could not get over 55 mph going up a small hill.

It's got all the symptoms of a leak in the fuel line. You may want to start backward at the tank and work your way all the way to the carb to find it but it would be surprising if it was something else. All the best.
