What are the chances that transmission fluid could get into your oil on a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Not that good although it could happen
You would need a leak inside the radatior between the oil colling system for the transmission and a leaking intake manifold gasket that is letting collant leak into the engine that has trany fluid nixed with it .Of coruse you would see oil floating on top of the antifreeze if you removed the radiator cap or the fluid res
. Also look at the engine oil for white foem this also means collant is getting into the engine oil white smoke out the exhaust sure sign you have a leak someware .

My low coolant light came on for about a minute and then my engine overheated light came on what does this mean the is freezing cold

Hi, This usually means you are low in the collant in your radiator. SUggest you check it when it is cold and fill it up with the proper antifreeze water mix.

Overheating gage when stop & go -2004 chevy tahoe

natural for engine temp to rise in Traffic - Until Themostat opens ) cooling fan sensor kicks on fan . But Antifreeze is not just a Cold weather item . Coolant is Absolutely Necessary for Hot Days . You must be full to recovery bottle setting of cold when checked prior to start up . Coolant for your make / model is Reddish - Pink colour and should have a reading of -25 thats negative 25 degrees the Lower the Better even - 50 .. Why ?? - 50 is 50 %% antifreeze / Coolant Concentrate MIX Gives Hot weather cooling Ability or very cold weather starting / winter HEAT .

That means that your car is trying to tell you something. Take it to a shop where they can retrieve codes and let you know what the problem is.

My check engine light cameon and now my car is running very rough with less power.

Hi, please get a free OBD 2 scan at your local parts chain and send us the trouble code. We need the code to diagnose your problem efficiently.

Thanks, Jeff

Engine overheating in 2003 Sorento

Well there ya go....any leak in todays engines is bad...especially yours..it got a little low on collant...and it only take a few minutes of running with no coolant to blow that engine up

Your warning was the leak, and it should have been fixed right away.

You now definetly need a new engine
