Question about 1999 Mazda 626
The computer thing just under the motor is possibly faulty as that controls the abs. I bought a capella with no abs light on at all on start up because someone had taken out the bulb to hide the problem. Had a 2nd hand computer (sorry can not remember the right description for it) put in from a 323 and seems to be working okay? The comps are prone to getting moisture in them because of their position in the car.

That is unlikely, They are tucked inside the CV hub on the inside of the CV joints. Suggest that the vehiclke needs "scanning" as dirt cannot really get in where they are located.
PS = You may want to try disconnecting the battery for 15 min, reconnect, Sometimes works.
WARNING = Ensure your stereo code is handy to re-enter to get stereo to work. If you havnt got it do not try this.
