Question about Cadillac Catera
These motors are known for having coolant issues. Generally if you cannot find a leak and you know all the parts are in good shape then the only place coolant can leak out is thru a head gasket. Some leaks are so small it takes months to leak down so the light will come on.
The only way to confirm is to remove the heads so they can be tested.
There may be hydrocarbons ( fuel) in the coolant if it was a head gasket issue but with such a small leak may not be measueable yet.
There are a couple non intrusive test that can be performed.
One is with a smog machine. The other is called a chemical block test.
Someone should perform these if not done yet.
As far as the other problems since its going back tomorrow its best to just let them fix it. They prabably hooked the battery up with the key on.
