Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

How to clean the headlights of a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limtied? They're very foggy and need cleaning. I do not have the money to replace them. Any advice is appreciated! Also, can they be cleaned if the fog is on the inside of the headlight? (I'm not sure if ''fog'' is the correct word but they're not clear/see straight through them clean..)

I have one too, I dont believe what he is saying. The lenses get hazy on that model bad. I used the lens cleaner polishing wheel kit that Summit sells. It made mine much better then a good dose of polishing compound, after. The plastic they used was bad and glazed over after a few years. If they are too bad the only other option is to buy replacement assemblies from a later model junker or aftermarket.

Was or is either hi or low non functional or do they in fact still work , note if you can manage the bulb itself out the back side which you should then a large {cotton-swab} would allow you to reach the inner glass that way ...otherwise a salvage yard would be much cheaper .

OK if your meaning can the headlight itself be cleaned the answer is Yes ...if you can obtain some rubbing compound and even get your hands on a buffer would be much better otherwise simply apply the rubbing compound to accomplish your issue as far as the inside with removing the light assemble itself would be the best way remove the bulb and with soap and water you should be able to accomplish this as well .
as i stated earlier something to reach the inside of the lens itself should be self explanatory as you are trying to reach the inside of the lens ...this would be my only suggestion unless you went to a salvage yard .

If by "welts" you mean some kind of plastic or rubber trim, clean area with 3M adhesive cleaner, then use 3M Black weather strip adhesive.

If they have become "clouded", you don't usually have to re move them, there are buffer kits which will clean them up quite nicely, just keep the buffing wheel off the paint job.
