are the power locks engaging in preventing you from gaining access to inside the vehicle if so try re-moving the fuse or the battery cable to disengage it until you can obtain the ability to open the door and fix the problem , or is it just the linkages have become undone if you can gain access into the front panel and open the door by trying the door lock that way and open the door you will have a better chance in determining a possible short in the wiring or the fact the linkages are undone they are held on with plastic clips that slide over the rod and snap lock into place on the rod ...try using some WD-40 to loosen them up if they are merely frozen shut { rusted }.. a bit more information would be helpful such as the last time the vehicle was used operated and or did this just occur ? has the vehicle been sitting awhile etc ....thanks

OK the stereo code will need to come from the dealer if it is a factory stereo ..this comes on most all makes and models as an Anti-theft preventative measure ...unless you have the owners Manuel and hope someone wrote the code down someplace within it ...

as far as the doors are concerned a mere few days should not make any difference as opposed to a few years .., you replaced the battery and now they are self locking ....have you tried to disconnect the negative terminal to the battery for about 2 minutes and see if the computer may reset itself im not 100 for certain this will clear the issue but worth a try
yes if after you do that my only other thought would be something such as a wire is crossed or shorting out on the body someplace possibly between the door and the actual jamb in the rubber boot or there a bouts try if you get access to it ...if disconnecting the lock switch and using a test light to see if you have constant power or none at all to the switch itself and trace the wires "Visually" and then with the test light as far as power is concerned up to the switch ........are you using a remote ? or just the Key.sounds like a ground issue if it is power locks .? if not power locks then i deeply suggest removal of the inner door panel { and yes i know exactly how much or a pain doing this will be especially without the door open but with a bit of patience and a light to see you can do it have you tried to push in on the door while opening it ...let see ...does the door handle seem as if its hooked up ? or does it just flop around freely ....if its freely the door rod is most likely off and needs reconnecting hmmm this is the stuff i wish i was there to see for myself .
it may even be possible for you to reach in through even the smallest of opening with a bit of bending open the door to better examine the issue ....

this happened to me today and i unlocked the door to get in with the key and held it in the unlock position while i pulled the handl and that let me in. i couldnt touch any of the lock or unlock controls or it would keep trying to lock itself but once you get in and close the door, it stops. until you touch the locks at all. i came back to the car after a couple hours and the problem just dissappeared

My driver side door wont open from inside or outside

it appears you have a broken latch
the bad news is when your latch breaks like this you will end up destroying the interior door skin in order to get the door open

the good news is that almost any good garage can make the repair quickly

Ford explorere rear door will not open

check the door handle in side door panel there is a rod that goes into the door handle that might have fallen out of it or more likely broken the door handles at a junk yard are about 5 dollars if you take off make sure it function that none of the teeth of the handle are broken and and make sure you have the right or left door handle it will be marked on inside of interior door handle . this handle slides forward towards the front of vehicle for removal then turn to remove rod from handle.

1994 Ford Explorer, both back doors wont open. I think the child locks are locked on, but I can't open them from the outside either, I have the door skin off of one of them. Is there a pin or latch I can...

if you can open the door from the outside of the truck when you look at the backside of the door you should see a little opening for the child safety locks one way locks the door so it cant be opened from the inside the way other way unlocks the safety latch the door should be able to be opened from the inside and outside of the truck
