Check the speed sensor located at the tranny or in some cars at the left wheel shaft. I don't know where your particular car has the sensor.

-Make sure you hook up right.
-After connect to the meter gage, you need to turn from under neat
to make sure it turn before connect at transmission.
-remove it and double check again.

SPEEDOMETER JUST QUIT. I REPLACED BOTH INPUT & OUTPUT SENSORS. I WAS TOLD THAT IF ONE OF THE SPEEDOMETER SENSORS GO OUT THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON. MY ENGINE LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. NOW I'M WORRIED.

The same happened on my Chrysler voyager just quit you have to reset it that was all it was on mine. I think my husband held the button in on the speedo/milage counter until you have lots of lights come up on your dash board it looks very pretty. This should reset your speedometer it did mine. Good luck

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic. My Tachometer, Fuel Gage, and Speedometer quit working a few months ago. The Oil pressure, and Temperature gages work fine. All fuses are fine. I suspect a grounging...

have you tried working on one problem at a time?
have you check the body computer for any codes?
and to also verify the bus line is ok.
if you find nothing wrong with BCM or bus,
try checking the speed sensor for an output signal or if the gear is bad.

Speedometer quit but sometimes works. 98 neon

Check the ground wire from the engine to the firewall. It is a flat braided uncoated wire and should be easy to distinguish. Make sure that it is clean and tight.

Odometer and speedometer not working

the speedometer cable broke! thats what your odometer runs off too and they route into the transmission so maybe try looking there for the problem.
