There will be a oil plug in the middle of your rear axle.

SOURCE: check or fill tranny

If you are under the car, find the oil drain pan and look toward the rear of the car.  There you will see the transmission pan that has two bolts in it.  On will be higher than the other.  The higher one is used to check/fill the transmission.  The fluid should be filled high enough that it is just starting to come out of higher hole when the car is on level ground, that is when it is full.  You need to make sure that you run the car and move it through the gears and you should be able to get a little more fluid in there.  Obviously the lower bolt is for draining the pan.  Hope this helps!

2001 isuzu trooper burning oil dont know where oil is going,no leaks anywhere

It's probably your PVC valve. It's probably gunked up and closed. It's very common with Isuzu SUV's.

2001 isuzu trooper transmission is slipping when accellerating

Well if its a Auto matic, then you have either low in oil, or if level ok then its either the micro filter in the oil pan on the box ,or the body valve that lets the pressure go to the pistons which drive the forward and reverse driving belts ( which work the oppersite to the brakes which stop you these make you go).
BUT if a Manual gear box then its due to the clutch assy or the imput shaft broken in the centre plate
Let me know how you get on . RON

If not its a transmission shop job.
