Antilock, braction, traction lights on the dash

All 3 of those lights are illuminated on the dash of my 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. I took it to my mechanic and he came up with the following codes on the scan....1214, 1245, 1248, 1287. Which wheel sensor is inop and what is the actual name of the sensor?

It is none of the speed sensors. The 1214 is system contact or coil open. The 1248 is for the ebcm turned light on.These 2 are for the electronic brake control module. The 1245 is for the low tire pressure. And the 1287 is for the steering wheel position sensor. What you should do first is clear the codes and road test the vehicle. When the light comes back on check and see what codes came back. The electronic brake control module is for the antilock brakes and the traction control. When you get the codes after driving the vehicle post back with them and I can help you with whatever codes you have.Good luck.

I have the same problem. My mech told me that the EBCM module needs to be replaced. (2001 pontiac bonneville). The dealer wants $700.00 + just for the module.

What Rear Shock absorbers do you recomend most for a 2002 bonneville SSEi?

Replace them with air shocks. I just bought mine on line for 67 dollars each compared to $100.00 + each anywhere else. Nothing else will fit. Change over kits are very expensive and require special tools to do the job let alone the time it will take to do the job.

you have a dead short in the wiring harness. Easiest way to diagnose is remove tail/parking bulbs and systematically replace them one at a time. When you replace them, not buy new ones just unplug them, your problem circuit will be when the lamps go dim. That's your short.

Let me know how it goes!

P.s. is the 666 because of the 3 b's in bobbie? Carefull, one's irthday is 12,22,12 may get upset. lol
