You're running lean. A common problem in Mazdas is a delayed fuel pressure build up from the fuel pump. There's a service bulletin out on that condition. Do you experience a rough idle, stall, or hesitation?

    REPAIR PROCEDURE
    1. Reboot the IDS to clear memory before reprogramming.
    2. Using IDS 51.9 or later software, reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration (refer to “Calibration Information” table) by following the “Module Reprogramming” procedure.
    NOTE:
    • Always update the IDS tool first, then follow on-screen instructions to download the needed calibration file for PCM reprogramming.
    • It is not necessary to remove any fuses or relays during PCM reprogramming when the IDS screen prompts you to do so. You may accidentally stop power to one of the PCM terminals and cause the PCM to be blanked, or you may receive error messages during the IDS reprogramming procedure.

SOURCE: I HAVE CODE P2187 SYSTEM TOO LEAN AT IDLE SPEED (BANK 1)

I had the same problem and it turned out to be a big vaccuum leak, Do you hear a whistle or similiar noise coming from under the hood anywhere? If so, check all of your hoses. Mine was behind the intake manifold..

SOURCE: how can fix code P0703 on mazda 6i v6 2005

The conditions that set this code are as follows:

The PCM monitors changes in input voltage on Brake Switch No. 1. If the PCM does not sense voltage changes at PCM terminal 82 when alternately accelerated and decelerated 8 times, the PCM determines that brake switch No. 1 has a malfunction

Possible Causes are:

  • Brake Switch malfunction
  • connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to power circuit between Brake Switch terminal D and PCM terminal 82
  • Open circuit between Brake Switch terminal D and PCM terminal 82
  • Malfunctioning PCM

Where is the freeze plug on a 2004 mazda 6i 4 cylinder?

Looks like Mazda and Ford used same engines on different models (Jaguar too) during your year. Try searching "xw4e-ba" (engine block code) in images. Might be just in front of oil filter.

The best way to replace the headlght bulb

In my opinion, the BEST way is to get somebody else to do it for free!...LOL

However, that is not very likely to happen in this millenium, so I have provided the pictures below.

Also please note that there is a Mazda 6i and a Mazda 6s But there is no Mazda MX6 in 2005. There is, however, a Mazda MX5...so assuming this is what you meant, the pictures are for the MX5.

If you meant Masda 6i or Mazda 6s, these pictures are not even close because the 6-series requires removal of the front bumper to remove the head lights.

I have a Mazda 6i and continuing to have the low coolant level code coming up. Have checked everything...seems fine. When code is erased, it the engine light will stay off about a week or so then come back...

Take the car to auto zone and have them pressure test the radiator cap this will be your most likey problem you can also pressure test the cooling system to look and see if you have a leak in a hose or water pump.

Check Engine Light shows as "AT"

Check the speed sensor on the tranny.Have the car scanned for a DTC code. Tell the person about your problem So he will check the right place. They do it free at most car parts stores.
