Because there are also cam seals & valve cover gaskets which could leak. (Both at top part of engine( Usually if you hot steam clean engine--restart engine--watch closely & may see where oil starts to leak again.
You need to go through the proper coolant system bleeding procedure.. There is a bleeder valve in the front center of the intake manifold. You must fill the system, run the car with the heat on until the thermostat opens, top off the coolant and open the bleeder until coolant a steady stream comes out without any air bubbles. Close bleeder, top off coolant, and replace radiator cap. Run car until fan cycles twice on its own.
That is possible but the computer system in the '97 is much different than the '94. So there will be allot (large list) of parts to change over from the old engine to the new one. A '96 engine would be more compatible than a '94 but still some differences.
Looking from the front of the car. the passenger side is cyl 1, 3, 5, and the drivers side is 2, 4, 6. The coil pack front row is, 6,4,2. and the rear row is 3,1,5 The firing order is 123456
The knock sensor is threaded into the block of the engine, just below where the cylinder head sits. You will need to remove the intake plenum (upper and lower) to access this part.
