I Just fixed a problem with a renault megan washer motor. If the motor makes a noise but is not pumping any water & the jets@ the windscreen are clear, then pull the suqirter motor out off the washer bottle( the bottle stays in place ) it just pulls out from underneith the bottom stone tray& may need to remove bottom bolt, inner lower wheeel arch. Right Now where the black & white squirter come out of the motor gentlywith a screw driver pop these off together. ( test motor again) ( put in water ) Then with Snap ring plires & part the white & black outlets apart & you will find a rubber seal that looks like it must of grown. When it grows it blocks both ports off. you need to shorten the rubber & keep it flat as remember its job seems to block off either the front or rear port. if it not a good finish you may get water coming out of the front & the rear ifeg your working the front squirters
Almost certainly grit in the jets or something in the pipe.. Remove the pipe from the jets and blow into the pipe. You should hear bubbles in the bottle. Take the jets from the bonnet (generally a slide clip holds them on) use a paper clip or needle to push into the hole and then rinse under a tap.
I seem to have no power to washer pump. I have checked fuse box in the glovebox & the fuse box in the engine compartment. There does'nt seem to be a fuse for the wash/wipe pump. Is it linked with another fuse ? It must be fused somewhere. Any ideas that can help me out. The Mrs. keeps giving me ear ache that she can't see.
Guys,i was following the last instruction of cleaning out the grit, found it and water coming out in front driver very good, weak at passenger front and nothing at rear wiper..is it the pump that i haver to replace, does that mean wheel off, cover off and then access to pump..renault scenic 2001 thanks steve..at it now
