Most automatic transmissions have a modulator attached to the side of them. Check with your local auto parts store on its location.
Make sure you give them the year, make, model ,engine, trans size of your vehicle, so they cangive you an exact location, ok?
Then check all the hoses to it from the engine vacuum line, make sure there is no cracks, breaks, leaks.

My 2001 GMC Jimmy 4x4 Automatic with 84K miles. It winds when I put it in reverse and I think I only have 1st and 2nd gear. Additionally it revs high, like over 3000 rpm, delays and then eventually...

It winds up in 1st and then shifts right from 1st into 3rd. Then never shifts into 4th. Plus rev is gone. You broke the sun shell. The transmission will need to rebuilt or replaced.

My 1992 honda revs up to 6000 rpms when I am driving about 70 and will not shift. Then it will shift and go down to 3000 once it shifts, then it will shoot back up to 6000 for no reason what the heck is...

When a vehicle have to achive a high RPM to shift this is a sign that the transmission is having a problem and not shifting properly, is it starting at 2nd or 3rd gear, can you tell? I recently had a transmission and the 2nd gear was bad, once the Mechanic broke down the transmission the whole thing needed rebuilding, so you may want to take it to a shop, and make sure the Test drive, and diagnostic check will be free if the repairs are done by the same shop, otherwise you will have to pay if you decide to go somewhere else.

Will not move from 2nd gear help PLEASE?

Your transmission is in a "limp in" mode. There are 2 sensors that need replaced. Total cost should be less than $100. I had it happen to me on my 99 300m. The sensors limit the speed to about 25 mph and the RPM rev's high. Just get the sensors replaced.
