My 1997 Mitsubishi Galant won't start. Initially I believed it was the starter. I took it out and had it checked. It is working fine. I replaced the battery and I noticed that the 100 amp alternator choke fuse had blown. I replaced it and as soon as I connected the battery, it blew out again.

Does anyone have a diagram on how to replace a starter on a 1997 mitsubishi galante es

The easy way is for you to go down to your local auto parts store and get a Haynes repair manual for your 1997 Mitsubishi Galant. In it are all the instructions you need and alot more!

My mitsubishi 2004 galant won't make a sound when i try to start it .no lights nothing not a sound. What could be the problem?

Could be the starter or possibly the ignition. Best way to test the starter is get out a multimeter and check the voltage to the main wire on the starter make sure it's getting 12 volts, then when you try and start see if the solenoid is getting voltage, the solenoid will ONLY get voltage when you are trying to start it. Try that and go from there.
thank you,

Every morning my vr4 1997 wont initially start, it will click a few times then start. sometimes takes 12 attempts to go. It is getting power though. thoughts??

It sounds like your battery is going dead.  Once the engine gets primed, it will start but the cranking is bad.  The only other thing to check is the starter bendix.  If you have a lot of dirt buildup, it will seize when you try to start it.

'97 Mitsubishi Galant starts when jumped, runs fine to destination, won't start again unless jumped. Ideas?

You have a bad battery or bad connections to your battery. Try to charge the battery first. If the problem still occurs then replace the battery. It should be ok after this. good luck.

Car won`t start sometimes. battery is good, starter is also good.

simple test after you start it.. unhook the battery. if it keeps running it is the battery.... if the motor dies it's the alternator
