Replace the bulbs, because the filaments there could have broken off their weld points.
Remove the bulbs, and spray some "electrical contacts cleaner" inside the bulb holders..

Headlight - replacement bulb

locate the back sid eof the tail light and turn the socket portion one way or the other then pull gently out. once you have the socket out pull the bulb and replace then put socket back and turn oposite direction.

Don't replace either one. Replace the light switch (that turns lights on and off) it must be defective, as when it's off power is still going to the tail lights. countrycurt0
