I don't think it's the tires or alignment. Wouldn't that be a constant vibration? This is a sporadic "shudder". Tires are stock.I don't think it's the tires or alignment. Wouldn't that be a constant vibration? This is a sporadic "shudder". Tires are stock.
My same symptoms would start about 45-50 MPH. Just something to think about prior to digging into the alignment or rear end for pinon angle. My same symptoms would start about 45-50 MPH. Just something to think about prior to digging into the alignment or rear end for pinon angle.
When was the last time you had your tires balanced & alignment checked ? I have this issue with my 2006, and the same for my 2001 when the tires got out of balance. I was running slightly larger than stock when I had this happen ( 2006 is P275/65R18 vs. 255/65R18 is stock I think ).When was the last time you had your tires balanced & alignment checked ? Welcome to fixya the best thing to do is check the rims for imperfections and slight bents that causes the vibrations at that speed go to www.collisionrepairadvice.com to get a wheel repair company to look at.
I had a similar problem. The dealer change automatic transmission and differential, but the noise continu.
After research on internet i think the problem is the front galiper who create a vibration on the disc wheel and the vibration frequence follow
the front axle until interior car.
Just press slowly the brake pedal and if the noise stop , that's it the cause i think.
I dont change my galiper, but i have a new transmission . :)))
A few different things could be causing this, most are internal engine components. First off, take your tires and have them balanced to make sure you didn't accidently fling off a tire weight when you hit a pothole. Next, if that is not it, either you have a blown head gasket, cracked rings, or bad rod/main bearings.
