At 13.4 volts the alternator is NOT charging it has to be 14.5-14.8 volts to be charging
next for the main problem
there are 2 ignition circuits attached to the ignition switch
the star position also allows power to the coil as it engages the starter
releasing it back to run engages the 2nd circuit that allows power to the coil through a resistor or resistor wire
if it stops after starting the problem is in that wire
with out starting it put the key in the run position and read the voltage at the + point of the coil
with no reading you have either a bad circuit or a bad ignition switch

I recommend removing the alternator and taking it to Autozone. They can test it for volts, amps, and also check the field control circuits.
Hope this helps.

If you go to faxonautoliterature you can get the dealer service manual for the car and that should have a complete wiring diagram as well as everything else. I've used them before and had excellent service. Hope this helps.
