Hey, did you adjust the timing after installing the new distributor? The distributor is apart of the engine timing process. Also, this could possibly happen from using a faulty ECU (Electronic Control Unit). The ECU has a red LED (Light Emitting Diode) integrated for self-diagnosis. If the LED stays on without blinking, the ECU may be faulty and some time should be invested in finding out if it is working or not. The ECU is located under the passenger side foot well. You need to pull the carpet back, then you will find a metal protector cover (you can't miss it!). There is a small hole in the protective cover so that you can see the LED. Look to see if the LED is blinking and if so, count the number of blinks it displays and record the results. Come back on and I'll do my best to help. The ECU can also determine your issue very quickly.
