i believe if you put key in ignition turn it forward and back off twice it should reset the anti theft to start it. or unlock pass door with key and that might reset it. also try the same with back pass door if the other didnt work. hope this helps.
will your key work in the passengers side?
If so I asume you have electric door locks. open drivers door from inside shut the passengers door. go around to the drivers side shut the door lock the doors from inside then unlock the doors open door shut door and try to start it...as far as disableing it you will have to take it to nissan electrical tec.
this happened to my wife tonight with her 89' maxima but the alarm went off while she had the car in gear and opened the passenger side door to shut it all the way she got the alarm off but the car would not crank..... lights, radio, everything was working just would not turn over I took the keys out locked the driverside door and put in the key and it resets the alarm and car started right up:)
what occurred is that the theft module has reset typically this only occurs with after market systems but I've seen it a few times with the factory system too
assuming you have the factory alarm key fobs try locking and then unlocking all doors
open and close the passenger door open the drivers door close passenger door close drivers door try to start the vehicle
if vehicle still will not start then you will need a professional scan tool to reprogram the keys and computer
THERE IS A VALET SWITCH TO OVERRIDE THE ALARM. PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND TURN IT,HOLD THE BUTTON(USUALLY A LITTLE BLACK BUTTON UNDER DASH) AND CRANK ENGINE OVER. THIS WILL START THE CAR AND CUT ALARM OFF
You can try to use another key if you have one, get one made. Also try to lock and unlock the doors, if this does not help you will need to bring vehicle to shop with high end scan tool so they can monitor what part of the security system is activating. Thanks
Open the drivers door panel and locate the inside lock cylinder, there is an alarm switch that wrap around it with an electrical wire came out, it might also have another one on the passenger side in some other model . What it does is arm and disarm the alarm when you use the mechanical key and in some other model, it also lower the window when you disarm. The switch might pop out of place or deteriorated due to age. Good luck all.
