The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. You will have to pull the tank, so get out any esscess fuel you can. Undo the battery, red cable first, Jack up the rear of the car and support it on jack stands high enough to pull the tank down and out the rear. Disconect any rubber hangers at the rear of the exhaust so the pipe will rest on the rear axel. Disconect the filler hoses from the tank. Disconect the fuel lines, you may have to have a special tool to dosconect the fuel lines, ck at your local parts store for any you may need. Support the taqnk with a floor jack and remove the retaining bolts/straps. Lower the tank and disconect any wiring from the sending/pump location. Pull the tank down and out the rear. The fuel pump is held in with a loc-ring, you can use a screw driver to turn half way to remove, then the assy. will come out.

To replace the fuel pump the fuel tank must be removed, this requires the car be jacked off the ground as far as poss and put on safety stands (always use safety stands!!), the filler neck is then disconnected and then the steel straps tha retain the tank into the car are undone (each has a nut), then the tank is lowered on a jack until u can get to the electrical connectors and the fuel lines and vapor lines, a special tool may be required to remove the fuel pressure and return line, trhe pump assembly is held into the tank by a twist out retainer ring, reverse to install pump and tank back into the car, this is a 2 person job on the ground, be careful, even a small spark from a tool and u are toast.

Recently did engine overhaul but the timing chain gets loose after a few km drive and starts making noise nissan z24 single chain

the nissan z24 has a chain guard on either side of the chain
facing the chain the guide on the left is the chain guide and the one on the right is a guide as well it is a straight guide and when fitted should protrude slightly above the block face
it is held on the block by 2 bolts
there is also a small guide separate and above the adjuster bolted with one bolt in the head
the chain tensioner is below the lh guide and the bolts are tensioned to 53-89 inch pounds

Changing exsaust valve and valve guide on a Kohler 12 horse engine.how do I remove the guides.

you will need 3 special tools for this job . remove the head and valves . One tool will be turned so that it fits in the guide and is slightly smaller than the guide outer diameter. The other tool will go around the guide and rest on the valve spring seat. This allows the guide to be pressed out without stressing the head . The third tool will fit in the guide and will be recessed so that it slip down over the guide the required distance so that when the guide is pressed in the outer edge will hit on the valve spring seat and position the guide in the correct distance into the head. The tool that was used to go around the guide to press out will be used in the head chamber to support the head during the pressing in process.. I would rather take the head and the new guides to an engine re-conditioner shop and have the job done in 15 minutes so that I could then get then to seat the valves in the head properly

Window guides for 1996 chevy cavalier convertible

Yes, Look at your local car demolition yard, guides from many other cars will fit you can cut them to length if needed, also you should be able to find new guides produced for other cars that will serve the purpose, unless I'm mistaken of what is actually faulty and needs replacing, you could try squeezing the guides closed slightly with pliers as they have a metal spine in them (you would obviously have to dismantle and remove the guides first) after re-installing the guides should now hold the window firmly. I hope that helps a bit, good luck
