Gear indicator light bulb needs to be replaced. Not illuminated at night making it hard to see what gear the car is in.

One or more of the illumination bulbs in the cluster may have burnt out. There aren't many, maybe only 3 or 4, so if just one burns out, you won't get much illumination.
You have to get to the back of the cluster to replace them. The hard part is removing the cluster, lots of trim pieces to remove first, then pull the cluster out a little to disconnect the electrical connectors. Then the bulbs are easy to replace-parts stores sell them.

Dodgy connection somewhere but where ?? is the million dollar question,Does this vehicle have the illegal funny light system where the stop light is the indicator as well or is it on the europeon system with a seperate indicator light

Make sure the tail lights and brake lights are working including the one in the rear window, if any of these are out the dash warning light will stay on, any bulbs that look discolored should be replaced

You just need to replace the light bulb behind the indicator

could have the wrong bulbs in. some bulbs are single or double filament.check bulbs.if good your bulb sockets could be bad or you got grounding problems.

Just pop the indicator panel up and you can replace the small bulb. It is a standard interior bulb.

first i would check your fuses to make sure you havent blown one

You shifter indicator bulb (194 bulb number) has burned out. Pretty easy and cheap fix. The top of the indicator has to be removed/lifted up and teh bulb needs to be replaced.
