If you checked the fuses for the headlights, pull back on turnsignal handle to see if you have high beam over ride,
if you do i would think it was the headlight switch

Daytime Running Lights Inoperative 2002 Toyota Camry

[Information] For a 2002 Toyota Camry, the Daytime Running Lights (DRL) operate utilizing the High Beams (inner Lamps closer to the center of the vehicle front) at a reduced power.

[The troubleshooting process:] Review the Owner's Manual and ensure the test configuration matches the following criteria:
1. According to the 2002 Toyota Camry Owner's Manual (Check your Owners Manual):
"The DRL system will make your headlights come on at a reduced brightness when:
The light switch s in the "DRL" position.
The ignition is on with the engine running.
The headlight switch is off.
The parking brake is released."

2. Set the Test Conditions according to Step 1 above.

3. Check the headlight bulbs to ensure they are not burned out. If one burns out, there is a fair chance that the other would have burned out at the same time. Replace as necessary. In this case, if the high beams operate, the DRLs should also operate.
4. Test the system, ensuring the step 1 conditions are set. (Engine running, Multi-function Switch on Turn Signals in "DRL" position, headlight switch off (repeating what the manual says -- it should be obvious that in the "DRL" position, the headlight switch should be off / do not have the switch positioned to "High Beam"), and the Parking Brake "off").
5. If DRL lights do not work, check the engine compartment Fuse and Relay Box. there is a 5 Amp DRL fuse -- replace it with the spare. Test (step 4).
6. If it does not work, swap around or replace relays -- there are three (3). Any one of them could be bad (stuck or burned out). Test (step 4).
7. Other less likely possible issues could be that the Multi-function Switch is broken or a connection / wire is broken. [Beyond the scope of this process.]

My problem was that the test configuration did not have the engine running and parking brake off - Step 1. Problem solved with much thought, repetitive tests on the vehicle and going back to the basics -- what does the Owner's Manual say and where are the applicable fuses and relays located?

2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4x4 Light Problem

You checked to make sure you didn't blow all the bulbs at once?
If your front park lights work, then the headlight switch is probably alright.
You may have a taillight relay in your fusebox. Check the owner's manual. It may show it.

Headlights have not turned on when i hit the switch, checked the fuses and wires, I have also replaced both bulbs in the last month, do i have a short somewhere?

I just had this problem, I was going to replace the on/off switch in dash, I took it out and cleaned the "prongs" put it back in and the headlights came on. If your parking lights work, it's the switch.

I have a 97 jeep wrangler. the headlights wont turn on. all other light work fine. the fuse is also fine

Try a couple things if you haven't tried already.

First try replacing the bulbs (sometimes the most obvious answer is the right one, and not meant to offend you).

Then, try replacing the headlight relay (found in the fuse box and looks like a small black cube that plugs in similar to a fuse with some extra prongs).

Then, try replacing the headlight switch.

Finally, while inspecting the headlight switch, make sure the wires are connected and not broken, worn out, or corroded. Same thing with the wires connecting the headlights.

Let me know if this helped you out.

05 Jeep Wrangler High Beams Work, Low Beams dont

There are no relays for the headlights. Your problem could be from the headlight switch. You would have to check and see if you have power coming out of the switch on the low beam side. Check with a test light.

98 jeep tj, dash light/taillights/licence plate light don't work

disconnect head lights, and replace fuse. Then turn the light back on to see if it blow a fuse again. if not, plug on light in at a time. You might have a bad headlight???? then unplug that one if nothing happens. Then plug the other one in. It could also be a bad taillight bulb. I have had bad tail light bulbs. Do all of them, one at a time.
